As a passionate storyteller, I am committed to uplifting the voices of those who are often overlooked and celebrating diversity. Through sharing my own creative journey and process, I hope to inspire my readers to explore their own creative potential.

As an educator, I recognize the power of creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all learners to thrive. My curricula are thoughtfully designed with this principle at the forefront of my mind. My ultimate goal is to provide an inspiring, engaging, and empowering experience for readers of all ages.

I have several author-visit programs that are scalable and adjustable to all levels and curricula.

1) Visual storytelling Program

From script to printed page - Explore the process of visual storytelling and create your comic!

As part of the visual storytelling program, I will use my Middle-Grade graphic novel, Marshmallow and Jordan, as an example to explain my creative process. I will share and explain the steps involved in making a graphic novel. The program aims to inspire and excite students to create their own stories with confidence and creativity.

Presentation content:

  • Keynote visual presentation of research videos and photos of Marshmallow and Jordan

  • A 2 mins short film of my Behind-the-page production documentary of Marshmallow and Jordan

  • A guide on tips and tricks to make a comic

  • A brief introduction to how to develop a story with fun, compelling characters

2) CREATIVE ADVENTuRE Program

Have a glimpse into an artist's journey and explore the vibrant world of creative arts!

This program is the perfect fit for students who are passionate about exploring the exciting and vibrant world of creative arts. I will share my personal experiences with students and provide them with tips and advice on discovering their creative voice, nurturing their talents, and realizing their full potential. Additionally, I will share fun and inspiring stories from working in various art industries.

Neighborhood
Within 30 miles of Santa Clarita County, CA - $450/half-day session - $900/full day, up to 3 sessions

Local
Within 80 miles of Santa Clarita Country, CA - $550/half-day session - $1100/full day, up to 3 sessions 

Overnight travel
$1900/day + travel and lodging, up to 3 sessions

Online
$250 for a 45 minute session during work hours (9am - 6pm PST)
$500 for a 45 minute session outside of work hours

Fluffy Assistant Artist 

Piglet is available for FREE hugs and extra laughter. She is a sweet, well-trained dog who is gentle with children and the elderly. While she is not certified, she is used to the classroom environment. 

If you wish to invite Piglet, please let us know. For local school visits, there is no extra charge. For overnight travel, there is an additional $85/day doggy traveling cost.  At this moment, Piglet does not travel out of Los Angeles.
